Unanimous Not Guilty Verdicts for Man Accused of Beating and Coercing His Partner

Kuljeet Dobe’s client was unanimously found not guilty of coercive and controlling behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm against his former girlfriend. She alleged that he had beaten her up in a hotel room and tried to control her over a 13 month period. Mr Dobe cross-examined the complainant into accepting that in fact she had tried to control his client over that period as she was afraid that he would leave her.
