Unanimous Not Guilty in an Armed Robbery at Snaresbrook Crown Court

19 March 2024

Kuljeet Singh Dobe Criminal and Financial Crime Barrister

Kuljeet S Dobe secures a unanimous not guilty verdict on a charge of robbery.

The defendant was accused of being part of a group of 3 drug addicts who robbed a 72 year old man in his home after breaking down his front door and threatening him with a knife. The jury were told about the defendant’s 6 previous convictions for burglary of old men in similar circumstances. Mr Dobe argued that whilst his client had certainly tricked her way into OAP’s homes and stolen in the past, she was not a violent robber and the jury should find her not guilty.

Instructed by Richard Grace, TV Edwards Solicitors.
