Peter Clark & Sania Nissar’s Client Acquitted of Serious Sexual Offence Charges

2 September 2025

Peter Clark led Sania Nissar in the defence of a female teaching assistant alleged to have been complicit in grave child sex offences committed by her ex-husband, a headmaster.

Their client was also charged with sexual assault of an adult male.

While the co-defendant was convicted of all charges against him, including child rapes, Peter and Sania’s client was unanimously acquitted after a 15-day trial.

This was a retrial which meant that Peter had to cross-examine the complainants a second time, including challenging one of them about discussions she had instigated about tactics for the retrial.

The trial attracted widespread national media coverage: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c2l7xe1k185o

Peter and Sania were instructed by Michelle Briendel and Amber Hedges of Paul Robinson Solicitors.
