Our pupil Matt Ward has been announced as the winner of the Kalisher Trust’s prestigious annual essay prize for 2022. The Kalisher Trust is a charitable organisation promoting inclusion and diversity at the criminal Bar. Matt’s essay was described by the judging panel as ‘outstanding’ and explored the topic of perverse jury verdicts in the light of the acquittals of the ‘Colston Four’ earlier this year.
