Kuljeet Dobe Successfully Deploys the Modern Slavery Defence to Secure Acquittal of Man Accused of Drug Dealing

SS was found Not Guilty of being knowingly concerned in the supply of class A & B drugs between January and September 2023. He admitted being involved in a drugs enterprise but advanced a Modern Slavery defence based on being in “debt bondage” to drug dealers. The jury was told about his 2 previous convictions for drug dealing. After less than 2 hours of deliberation, he was unanimously acquitted at Isleworth Crown Court.
