Ali Dewji secured a conviction of Mr Fryers for attempted murder, following a 3 week trial at Maidstone Crown Court. Mr Fryers attacked the victim with a screwdriver while on day release from HMP Standford Hill. Mr Fryers was sentenced to life imprisonment, with a minimum term of 17 years and 4 months. Ali was instructed by CPS South East.
