Mini Pupillage

Mini-pupillage is a way of experiencing the Bar to see whether a career as a barrister is for you.

As part of our continuing commitment to education, training and accessibility to the Bar, at 187 Chambers we offer mini-pupillages throughout the year for five working days with opportunities to attend a variety of different court hearings.

Applications are welcomed and should be addressed to Emma Gluckstein – emmag@187chambers.com.

To be eligible, you must have left school with good A level results and at least have started at university. You should demonstrate a genuine interest in the profession and a specific interest in criminal law. The mini-pupillage is not assessed but we look for students who have the potential to become pupils in Chambers.

Please send a full covering letter and CV, together with the exact dates on which you are available. We have no places available until February 2026. The places are limited and are allocated well in advance.

Chambers does not offer work experience placements or funded mini-pupillages.
