  • Equality and Diversity data;
  • Any application or expression of interest in job/work experience/traineeship;
  • Family and next-of-kin details.

How we process your information
GDPR requires us to have a legal basis for processing of your data. The lawful bases identified by GDPR are as follows:

  • Performance of a contract with a data subject or to take steps to enter into a contract;
  • Compliance with a legal obligation;
  • To protect the vital interests of a data subject or another person;

Who will your personal information be shared with?

If you are a client, some of the information you provide will be protected by legal professional privilege unless and until the information becomes public in the course of any proceedings or otherwise. We have an obligation to keep your information confidential, except where it otherwise becomes public or is disclosed as part of the case or proceedings.

It may be necessary to share your information with the following:

  • Third party contractors and suppliers, necessary to administer 187 Chambers;

We will retain your personal data while you remain a customer/client/supplier/trainee/employee or work experience student, unless you ask us to delete it. We will delete or anonymise your information at your request unless:

  • There are overriding legitimate business interests, including but not limited to fraud prevention and protecting customers’ safety and security.
