James Onalaja will Co-Chair the International Criminal Court Bar Association (ICCBA) Panel Event on ongoing attacks on judicial independence and the rule of international law at the International Criminal Court (ICC) in the Hague.

The event will explore the roots and impact of the growing risks, threats and challenges including from alleged espionage and cyber-attacks by nefarious actors, criminal indictments, arrest warrants and sanctions against ICC officials and judges by certain States, and seek to explore potential responses, strategies and solutions.

The panel event will bring together distinguished members of the ICC judiciary, representatives of the national judiciary, legal practitioners, office holders of international organisations and State representatives, in a discussion with stakeholders and the public.
