Sarah Karimi

Sarah commenced her pupillage at 187 in September 2025.

Prior to joining 187 Chambers, Sarah gained extensive experience in the criminal legal sector, working at leading firms recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.

She has supported counsel in the preparation and conduct of complex and high-profile cases, including multi-handed murders, large-scale frauds, insider dealing, terrorism and public order offences, as well as high-value confiscation proceedings. She has also worked on cases involving serious sexual offences, and police misconduct hearings. Her work has spanned all stages of litigation, from drafting and advising at the pre-charge stage, to case strategy, trial preparation, and supporting counsel throughout trials and appeals.

She has also marshalled at the Royal Courts of Justice.

Sarah is a qualified Civil-Commercial Mediator. She holds an undergraduate degree in Law with German Law from the University of Warwick, and two master’s degrees in law.
