Emily Griffiths
Emily regularly accepts instructions to prosecute and defend in the Crown Court in core criminal matters as well as fraud and financial crime. She is a trained Youth Court advocate and has represented clients who are vulnerable by virtue of their age or other circumstances. Emily also has a developing quasi-criminal practice, having appeared on behalf of both applicants and defendants in a number of non-CPS prosecutions.
Prior to commencing pupillage and accepting tenancy, she managed a heavy caseload of Crown Court matters as a paralegal at a boutique criminal defence solicitor’s firm. She has experience working on attempted murder, rape, POCA and extradition cases among other serious crime matters. In this role, many of Emily’s clients were vulnerable by virtue of their age or complex mental health conditions.
Prior to this, and while completing her Bar Practice Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy, Emily worked for another boutique criminal defence solicitor’s firm ranked in the Legal500.
